“Thank you and the Foss Team for their work and attention on the Mary Ellen Jones project. This was a challenging project with a tight schedule and very tight working conditions. Your team met all the metrics needed to perform this work.
They worked safely, on schedule, communicated well to our team, and were very responsive to unforeseen issues. Foss established a thorough plan for the abatement and demolition of this project and worked very well with the designers, ensuring requirements of the specifications and codes were met or exceeded.
I look forward to being able to work with Foss again. Thank you for a very professional and thorough implementation of the work on this project.”

“It is with great pleasure to write a recommendation for the services provided by Foss Demolition, Inc. Foss Demolition performed abatement and demolition services with Rodgers Builders, Inc. at Central Piedmont Community College.
Foss Demolition, Inc. was the successful bidder for an abatement and demolition project at Central Piedmont Community College to remove the old library and student services buildings. I have worked with several demolition companies in the past and this has been the best experience with a demolition company in my career. Foss Demolition performed the abatement and demolition of two large buildings on a campus in uptown Charlotte with very challenging logistical coordination within a heavily populated environment. The project was staffed appropriately, and the team was very easy to work with. They beat our expectations for this project.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend Foss Demolition, Inc. I am happy to recommend their services on any opportunities they plan to explore. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions or concerns.”

“Please accept this letter of recommendation for Foss Demolition, Inc. The Rodgers DPR Joint Venture team partnered with Foss Demolition on the UNCG Nursing and Instructional Building project. Foss was responsible for complete demolition and abatement of the existing 3-story McIver Building located in the heart of UNCG’s campus. The successful demolition and abatement of the building cleared the way for the new nursing building. Foss Demolition acted as a team player and performed the work successfully regarding safety, scheduling, quality, and estimating.
Safety – Foss Demolition planned their work well and it was evident that safety was a priority. All work was performed without any injuries. Foss completed all necessary paperwork and coordinated well with our field superintendents.
Scheduling – Foss Demolition met or exceeded our project schedule, even while encountering more Asbestos Containing Materials than shown on the plans. They participated in all scheduling/planning meetings and worked collaboratively to sequence the demolition per our overall project schedule.
Quality – Foss Demolition submitted all abatement and recycling paperwork as necessary to ensure the successful documentation of the demolition process. Foss ensured that all their scope of work was performed to our satisfaction.
Estimating/Change Management – Foss Demolition submitted a complete bid and performed all their scope of work without hesitation. The minimal change orders for added scope that they did submit were accurate and fair.
I would not hesitate to use Foss Demolition again and would recommend them to anyone considering contracting with them.”

“I am writing to commend you and Foss Demolition for your team’s performance as CDI’s main demolition subcontractor for the removal of the 880 MW FPL Lauderdale Plant located in Dania Beach, Florida.
Project Overview:
Your scope of work called for the demolition of two (2), 2 x 1 combined cycle units, two (2) steam turbines remaining from a prior re-powering effort by FPL and all related administration, switchyard and water treatment facilities.
Your scope included foundation removal, segregation, characterization, and removal of all demolished materials, as well as crushing/stockpiling of 80,000 tons of concrete on site for FPL’s use in construction of their new, 2 x 1 combined cycle 1,200 MW facility.
Foss’s Performance:
After mobilizing a substantial, well supervised crew and heavy equipment to the site, you worked 60,000 man-hours over a 12-month period without a single first aid case, much less a recordable lost time incident. Despite the addition of several add-change orders to your scope, you finished phased work on site early, permitting FPL to begin new construction efforts two (2) months ahead of schedule.
By the end of the project, you had demolished and recycled over 19,000 tons of steel and 2,000,000 pounds of non-ferrous metals.
We would not hesitate to use Foss as a subcontractor on future projects.”

“I would highly recommend Foss Demolition for all your demolition and abatement needs. Based on my experience, they have shown a great deal of professionalism and care for the outcome of my project and for all individuals on site.
When posed with unknowns and challenges, they took the time to evaluate and coordinate resolutions. Foss Demolition diligently ensured proper and safe abatement. They also instilled this care in the selective demolition.
For this we thank them for their commitment and ethics. I look forward to conducting more projects with Foss Demolition and once again greatly recommend their services.”

“Foss Demolition is providing abatement/demolition services on the Capital Towers project in Raleigh, NC. The project abatement/demolition scope of work includes demolition only for Building #2 (6-story building, 90 apartments), and abatement/demolition for Building #1 (12-story building, 207 apartments).
Due to the residents living on floors above and below our working floors in each building, and residents transitioning to floors after the renovations are completed, the schedule has been challenging. Even with the scheduling issues, Foss has worked well with the team to be available when abatement/demolition has to commence, and they have proceeded efficiently with their work on each and every floor.
Most importantly, they have worked well with our third-party industrial hygienist firm, S&ME, to provide the proper documentation necessary for such a mold/ACM abatement project. Performing the job per the plans and specifications, and working within a prescribed timetable makes for a good job, and it allows the residents to have a nice home environment.
Foss’s good work has been a key to the success of this project.”

“Over the past five years, I have had the opportunity to work with Foss Demolition on a number of pursuits and projects. These range from large scale structure removal to highly complicated selective demolition within occupied buildings. These projects include 123 West Franklin in Chapel Hill, Bank of America Building Renovation in downtown Raleigh, Ravenscroft School, and Park Point.
I consider them a trusted partner that I can rely on to provide a competitive price without sacrificing safety or quality. In particular, Ryan Johnson is quick to respond to any budget requests, but always takes the time to thoroughly understand the scope of work before committing to a project. I do not hesitate to call them my “Go To” demolition contractor.”
